- God knows us and wants to know where we are in our walk with Him
- He loves us and wants to forgive us but we must repent

1. The games people play
- The devil was playing truth or consequence
- Eve was playing Let's make a deal
- The devil convinced her she would not die
- We always want more, it is inherited
- Eve decided to snatch off a piece of fruit of the tree
- Whenever we are in sin we always want to take someone else with us
- Eve gambled on the tree and we got Zonked!
- Adam and Eve started playing hide and seek after eating of the tree
- Adam blamed Eve and she in turned blamed the serpent- The Blame Game
2. Other hiding places in the Bible
- Genesis 4:8-11- Cain kills Abel and hides his body in the ground
- Exodus 2:12 - Moses kills a soldier and becomes a fugitive for 40 years
- Joshua 7- Just finished conquering Jericho and an entire family was stoned to death after a member stole when the Lord told them not to
- A.I. in Hebrew means heap of ruins
- 2 Samuel 2:11- David had Bethsheba's husband killed and the baby died
- Acts 9: Paul persecuted Christians and dealt with many consequences ( 2 Cor. 11:22-28)
- God already knows where we are he just wants us to be honest with him (Jeremiah 23:24 & Psalm 69:5)
- Some of the things God hates (Proverbs 6:16-19):
- Pride
- Lies
- Shedding innocent blood
- Scheming against others
- Running to evil
- Spreading false lies
- Sowing discord amongst the brethren
3. Bad hiding places
- Hiding in sin- no one has to tell us we did wrong, we just start hiding
- Hiding under the cover of darkness- when the sun goes down do our standards?
- Hiding from the truth- have we stopped lying or do we tell a " little white lie"?
- Hidden agenda- causing discord amongst brothers and sisters in Christ
- Hiding amongst the stuff- God sees it all
- Hiding in the closet
- Hiding money- giving God leftovers or nothing at all
- Hiding in the pews- coming but never being a part of the body of the church
- Hiding from ministries- saying we are too busy
- Hiding from taking communion
- Hiding from witnessing- Keeping Jesus hidden
4. Good hiding places
- Psalm 17:8 - God's wings
- Psalm 32:7- God's presence
- Psalm 119:11- Hide His word in our hearts
- Colossians 3:2-3- Set our minds on things above
- Are we tired of hiding - Jesus is telling us to come out from our hiding place/brokenness
- God will forgive us but we must ask Him into our hearts
