Background:

• Truth seems to be in remission
•  It's hard to know who or what to believe
•  The biggest lies are the ones we tell ourselves to justify our wrong-doings
•  We need to quit making excuses for our sins and ask God to forgive us
•  Just because we believe something doesn't make it true

Key Sermon Points:

1. The truth of God's written Word
   1. We have God's Word, which is Truth
   2. Sometimes it's hard for man to see the truth in God's Word right away, but it has never been contradicted
   3. God performed the first operation on a man (Genesis 2:20-22)
   4. We need to believe the Bible and realize that God doesn't lie
   5. We are unique and wondrously made (Psalm 149:14), which has been verified by man with fingerprints and DNA
   6. Man can't prove that there's a Heaven or Hell until we get there; the Bible tells us that they exist and we must believe
   7. We must tell people about Jesus and let them know that Hell will be their home if they don't accept Jesus
   8. The Bible doesn't sugarcoat anyone...it shows that the men and women are just like us

2. Jesus Christ the Living Truth
   1. We know that Jesus is the Truth by looking at different scripture (John 1:1-2,14,17)
   2. God the Father taught Jesus (John 8:28-29)
   3. Jesus is the Truth (John 14:6)
3. What does the Son's truth set man free of?
   1. We have to believe
   2. We have to abide in the Word
   3. We have to walk in the Word
   4. It will set us free from doubt and the bondage of sin through the blood of Jesus Christ
   5. We can repent and ask for forgiveness and He will forgive us
   6. It sets us free of the fear of death
   7. It sets us free of the judgment and Hell, which is real for those that don't believe
   8. If Jesus makes us free, then we are free indeed
   9. No one knows when the Rapture will take place
   10. Jesus is the only One that knows our hearts and know if we really believe
